"Je suis vraiment Paul les Oiseaux". Su Antonin Artaud saggista
Résumé
This paper aims to provide an overview of Antonin Artaud’s essayistic writing, especially that which deals with painting and painters (Paolo Uccello, Balthus, Van Gogh). Particular focus will be placed on Artaud’s attempt to present what he calls his personal «mental drama» (drame mental): a non-psychological and possibly non-representative way of dealing with identity. Such a goal can be reached both through Artaud’s projection into his topic’s body and through the rejection of his own one, so that the ambiguity between subjective and transindividual modes of utterance is kept unsolved.
