Entrevista a Claudia Apablaza

Abstract : This interview with the Chilean writer Claudia Apablaza (Rancagua, 1978), conducted in December 2015 in Santiago de Chile, is divided into two parts. In the first part, the writer answers questions she formulated in the books Diario de las especies (2008), Eme/A (2010), Goø y el amor (2012) and Todos piensan que soy un faquir (2013). In the second part, it delves in some aspects of the work of the writer, as in more literary theoretical concepts and definitions. Claudia Apablaza studied Psychology and Literature in Chile and Barcelona. In 2005 she won the Paula magazine award for her story “Mi nombre en el Google,” and in 2012 the Premio Latinoamericano de Novela Alba Narrativa (Cuba) with Goø y el amor. She was a fellow at the Liguria Study Center for the Arts and Humanities Bogliasco, Italy (2012). Claudia Apablaza is a coordinator of the Latin American avant-garde collection Humo hacia el sur, Ediciones Barataria, Spain. She also directs the Chilean microeditorial Los libros de la mujer rota and conducts writing workshops.
